I was so excited to hear about the tree bird blog hop through Sew We Quilt. I had been lightly following along with their Tammy for all Seasons hop in January and it had me itching to connect with other bloggers through a creative project too.
Unlike past blog hops, this time I knew exactly what I wanted to make when I signed up. After I got the email back from our cheerleader for this hop, Lana from It Seems to be Sew, I immediately went to go find the fabric. It took a little leg work to find the fabric online but I did eventually find Beautiful Birds by Tracy Lizotte for Elizabeth Studios on the Hancock’s of Paducah website. I let out a big sigh of relief when they had the panel I needed to make the project I had in mind.
I’m really excited because part of the fun will be displaying and photographing this neat project with these beautiful birds! Of course I must be a glutton for punishment with this deadline in early March and another quilt deadline in early April but I’m up for the challenge!
Are you joining in with us in this blog hop or do you have any other blog hops coming up? I’d love to hear in the comments about your experience with blog hops in the past.
Lovely idea – i don’t have any bird fabric at all I think but these caught my eye the other day – very tempted!

Really a beautiful bird panel. Picked one up the other day…now what to do…
I am really curious to see what you do with this cute panel! I am so tempted by a lot of things these days, but right now I don’t have any blog hops like this that I am committed to (yet! haha!).
I’m in the hop too…..my 90 year old Mama loves birds so my creation will go to her. I found my fabric on Ebay.
