Waterfall in the Woods

Recently the beloved and I took a walk through the woods. We’ve been trying to make time (not find, make) to spend time together outside the house. Hiking is cheaper than going out to dinner and for me it’s great to use my body hiking since my weekdays are filled with a desk job and often times more computer work when I get home.

I haven’t taken a lot of photos that haven’t been of quilting projects or Mini Barn Quilts so it was nice to get back into my roots of hobby photography: taking pictures for the sake of capturing something lovely.

  1. Very cool, Terri Ann. I love seeing your photography. My husband and I try to get out for a walk every evening (and we bundle up like arctic explorers in the winter to make it happen) so that he gets a chance to stand and move, so I can understand the urge to hike.

  2. This is awesome! Thank you for sharing it with us. When you have a family and work full time it can be hard to remember that you need to make a conscience effort to make time for things. Sometimes you just have to say “freeze” and stop and smell the roses. I hope you guys are able to sneak off for some more hiking dates and capture more beautiful moments with your camera.
