Jungle Baby Quilt

It’s an oldie but goodie, today I wanted to show off the 3nd quilt I ever finished. In Sept 2012 I got back to quilting after a hiatus with a quilt for my girl Lindsey’s baby shower. I came across The Bungle Jungle fabric line by Tim & Beck for Moda which was a perfect line to try Baby Lattice a Moda Bake Shop quilt pattern.

My friend Katie held it up for me when we went on a picnic last week, it was too cute watching the Geese walking the little gosslings in a row behind her!

They're so fluffy and cute!

I used the grey fun Bungle Jungle print for the backing cause for a boy this was just perfectly full of fun animals and bold colors. I have a very hard time finding masculine fabric combination, I feel like everything I do tends to lean quite feminine in both colors or patterns.

I’m so glad I’ve updated my style of quilt labels from just my simple handwriting! The runner up name for this quilt was Thor’s Trellis but my baby name suggestion wasn’t a front runner! Haha.

  1. This is so cute!! I love the blocks on point too! In the photograph it looks like a block is missing because it is very pale, but I am sure that this isn’t noticeable in real life!! I have 2 more baby quilts to make and this pattern would be perfect!! Thanks for sharing!!

    1. I wanted to swap out that block but couldn’t find a good replacement for it in my stash at the time and I was in a bit of a time crunch when I’d made it!

  2. Love the quilt! I have used that pattern twice and now have a renewed interest in using it again. 🙂

  3. I love baby quilts. This is adorable! Also, I like that you put all the quilt info in your post, with the quilt name and the measurements and everything. That’s such a good idea.

    1. Yea I find it helpful to do that especially with the measurements so that way when I need a size reference I can picture a quilt I’ve already completed!

  4. This is really bright and fun, also a great way to use charm packs. I love the design of having them on point. x

  5. Congratulations on a finish. Baby goslings always win over quilts, but quilts are a close second. lol. I love the palette which you used for the quilt.
