Yesterday I celebrated a finish it up Monday! I got the binding stitched down on 2 quilts, one of which I should have finished months ago! They both still need their labels but I’ll debut some fantastic photos of the finished products next week. I may have called up my mom to let her know she was going to be my designated quilt holder this weekend at my Gram’s cottage for some outdoor beachy quilt photo shoots!
I also made some GREAT progress on the plus sign quilt. I will post pics later this week but the top is complete!! HORRAY!
In other news I used EQ7 to do a rough mock up making Anna Marie Horner’s Feather quilt with the fabric I posted on the giveaway winner announcement. The lettering fabric isn’t to scale but it eases my mind that the feathers won’t get lost against the print.
That Grunge texture should REALLY pop! Now to just decide how big I want this quilt to be and to do the math to decide if I have enough fabric for it. I think I have about 3.5yd of the lettering plus the jelly roll of Grunge colors.
Before I start anything new though I plan to finish the plus sign quilt (real finish with binding and everything!) as well as my poor Penny Patch quilt which had gotten lost in the shuffle of finishing. She’s laid out on my couch blocking me from sitting down when I get home from work tonight.
My sewing week is off to a KILLER start – how about yours?
