Two Color Star

Published Categorized as Quilting

This was a pretty quick star to put together, not my favorite but as you can tell by the name the premise is pretty simple compared to the other stars: just two colors.

Again I found myself in HST trimming hell but it was only a couple blocks, I guess that’s the advantage when doing these samplers the repetition is gone and you’re only trimming a handful of blocks at a time not then 8 down 92 left to go type of attitude!

I feel like this star would be a good one to do in a larger sampler quilt, use the two color stars to break up space between other sampler blocks. I’ve been thinking I might do something to break up the farmers wife sampler quilt I want to try to make next year, this might be a good simple block to use.  You can find the tutorial for the two color star on here.

So excited to be done with the last traditionally pieced block, onto my first adventures in paper piecing!!!
